Many of the druids who train under the aegis of the Storm Kindlers focus on different areas of nature than those classically paid homage to by their kind. These so-called tempest druids see the personification of nature in the fury of the storm alone and to some extent eschew the veneration of plant or animal life, and the nature of their powers shifts accordingly. Trident Proficiency

A tempest druid gains proficiency with the trident, in addition to her normal druid weapon proficiencies. A tempest druid must be chaotic neutral.

Storm Bond Level 1

A tempest druid cannot select an animal companion; she must choose her nature bond from the Air, Aquatic, Cloud, Storm, Swamp, Weather, or Wind domains (or an associated subdomain).

Coastal Sense Level 1 E · Scaling Numeric Track

↪ builds on Nature Sense (Druid)

A tempest druid gains a +4 bonus on Knowledge (nature) and Survival checks made in coastal or marshy terrain. This ability replaces nature sense.

Spontaneous Domain Casting Level 1

↪ builds on Spontaneous Casting (Druid)

A tempest druid can channel stored spell energy into domain spells that she has not prepared ahead of time. She can lose a prepared spell in order to cast any domain spell of the same level or lower. This ability replaces spontaneous casting.

At 3rd level, a tempest druid gains electricity resistance 5. As a standard action she can grant this resistance to another creature she touches for 1 hour; while it is granted, she loses the resistance herself. This ability replaces trackless step.

Weathersight Level 4 F · Gated Unlock

↪ builds on Resist Nature's Lure (Druid)

At 4th level, a tempest druid can see through 10 feet of magical or natural fog, mist, rain, wind, or similar inclement weather, ignoring any concealment it would grant. This ability replaces resist nature's lure.

Lightning Ward Level 9 C · Uses-Per-Day Ability

↪ builds on Venom Immunity (Druid)

At 9th level, a number of times per day equal to her Wisdom modifier, a tempest druid can redirect an electrical attack that targets her or a creature within 30 feet as an immediate action. This ability replaces venom immunity.
