You no longer take a penalty on attack rolls with your shielded staff, and you add the attached buckler or light shield's enhancement bonus to your shield bonus to AC when wielding the shielded staff. In addition, you can detach the buckler or light shield from the weapon as a free action, or you can detach the buckler or light shield as an immediate action after an opponent resolves an attack against you to increase your shield bonus to AC by 2 against that attack.
