Alternative Rules
Mechanical alternatives that change how the core rules work at the table — a different damage track, armour that stops hits rather than dodges them, or a safety net that keeps dramatic moments from turning into character deaths. Adopt any of these at session zero; they replace or layer on top of the core system rather than adding an entirely new subsystem.
